An unidentified flying object, at first thought to be a meteor, lands in the mountains of North Sweden's Lapland sector. From the start, the circumstances are thought to be highly unusual and expert Dr. Vance Wilson (Robert Burton) is summoned to Stockholm to investigate. Assigned to assist him in unraveling the mystery is geologist and handsome heartbreaker Eric Engstroem (Stan Gester) . What started off as a routine investigation takes a sinister turn when multitudes of mountain animals are found indiscriminately butchered. Diane Wilson (Barbara Wilson) Dr. Wilson's precocious niece, makes herself part of the expedition and soon has Eric starting an investigation of a different sort. This leads to an interesting romantic tangent that displays both Sweden's breathtaking topography and the lovers' skiing skills to complete advantage.
When the mysterious object is finally revealed as an alien spacecraft, a gargantuan monster is already wreaking havoc amongst the terrified Laps. Soon, Diane is also kidnapped by it, and Terror in the Midnight Sun quickly escalates to a hair-raising climax.
Running Time: 73 Minutes
MPAA Ratings: NR
" Terror in the Midnight Sun numbers amongst the best of pioneering Sci-Fi feature films. Meteors are not an unusual occurrence in Swedish Lapland, but this one turns out to be an alien spacecraft with some rather gruesome occupants. A scientific expedition is sent out to investigate, but the undertaking is beset with setbacks. At the masterful touch of director Virgil W. Vogel, one horrendous revelation follows another in quick succession till the final climactic denouement.
Olympic ice skating champion Barbara Wilson and yesteryear heartthrob Stan Gester turn in memorable performances in a classic early science fiction feature film that will have you begging for more..."
"'Terror in the Midnight Sun' is a genuinely creepy movie and far head of its time. I found the plot and action extremely engrossing, and the leading pair (Barbara Wilson and Stan Gester) are accomplished and charming. This classic movie from A2ZCDS is a must-see for science fiction buffs in search of their roots."

"There is something about good vintage movies that does to me what none of the later ones can - 'Terror in the Midnight Sun' is truly a classic masterpiece, in that it bravely approaches a theme that was not really explored till much later. The director (Virgil W. Vogel) has done a tremendous job at capturing and retaining the viewer's interest from start to finish."
