EDITORIAL REVIEW: "Producer and director Gene Raymond has a point to make in this romantic drama - it doesn’t pay to cheat - and he has managed to get this point across to audiences in an enchanting manner through some laudable performances from his leading stars Stephanie Paull and Francis Lederer while giving a creditable performance himself. The plot is quite fascinating and has three characters, each an offender, coming together on a flight to Honolulu. Lederer’s portrayal of a smooth-talking, greedy blackmailer is captivating, while Stephanie Paull’s enactment of a charming, seductive and helpless lady is just wonderful. Raymond himself looks his part - a Wall Street type workaholic. The scenic splendor of Hawaii and grandiose indoor sets provide a fabulous setting for this timeless gem of a movie from A2ZCDS, which ends predictably with Stephanie in Nicholas’s arms. Don’t miss this suspense-packed romantic escapade of a financial executive who gets more than he bargains for when he tries to get away with a million dollars worth of security bonds!" USER REVIEWS:"Sue me if you must (my husband probably would) but I fell in love with Gene Raymond in ‘The Million Dollar Weekend’. He’s suave, human and completely convincing. The story is probably every desk jockey’s secret fantasy, and you can’t help but empathize despite the criminal implications." Magdalena Rastapopoulos, (Athens, GREECE)
"If you’re from the realist brigade, you may argue that ‘The Million Dollar Weekend’ is far fetched. To which I say, "This is everything that a good movie should be." Who cares whether it stretches the bounds of probability? I watch films to get AWAY from reality. This one did it with panache...kudos, A2ZCDS."
