In this espionage adventure, an ex-FBI agent Hobe Carrington ( Allan Curtis) is convinced by an active agent Bob Donovan ( Jack Holt)to help him find a stolen map showing the location of invaluable uranium deposits located on a remote South Pacific island. Carrington, now a pilot, flies Countess Marie ( Micheline Cheirel), to Death Valley along with a few others, where she plans to sell the map. Carrington is baffled as the map changes hands faster than he can think. Murders ensue as different people vie to get their hands on the valuable document.

Flight to Nowhere, the fifth movie to be directed by William Rowland, is an intriguing story about an invaluable map, which contains details of secret Uranium deposits on a Pacific Island.

Running Time: 79 Minutes
MPAA Ratings: NR (Mild Violence/Adult Situations/Not For Children)

"This fascinating mystery has Allan Curtis playing Hobe Carrington, an ex-FBI agent turned pilot who finds himself in the middle of a spate of murders and blackmail when he flies a ‘countess’ and her friends to Death Valley. Director William Rowland ensures that the pace does notslacken throughout the length of the movie. The plot unfolds quite unexpectedly and your interest is kept alive as a valuable map keeps changing hands and new characters pop up to add to the intrigue. The performances of Allan Curtis and Micheline Cheirel are notable and theyfit the roles they play quite well. Witness this marvelous mystery, which will have you guessing about the fate of the document and the characters till the end!"

This is one of the first films I ever saw in a movie theater with myparents when I was a little girl and I didn't think I'd ever see it again. So, imagine how happy I was when I saw it here and ordered it. It really is a classic film, full of mystery and adventure and the quality of the film restoration is excellent. I'd forgotten how it ended so the suspense was still thrilling to me today even though I'd seen it before many, many years ago. (written by Delores)

Traditional mystery films take place in one enclosed setting amonst alimited cast of characters so the audience can follow along with thedetective to one of a limited number of conclusions. Road Films on the other hand usually involve a large cast of characters and are about moving them from one place to another. Flight to nowhere has elements of both films - as people have tofigure out the mystery of why the papers that are being chased areimportant while also following them on their adventures from point a to point b. The result is a film that is much less of a formula feature than many of the same era and a heck of a lot of fun.
