When young girls from the city begin disappearing mysteriously, Captain McVeigh and Assistant DA James Horton know that something has to be done quickly. All indications point to King Peterson who runs an institute for training young actresses, but Peterson is a smart cookie who stops at nothing to elude arrest, using bribery, threats, murder and blackmail to good effect. He even frames Horton in a murder. Nora Thompson, a reporter with a local daily has a crush on Horton, and puts her life in jeopardy by posing as an aspiring actress to get proof of Peterson’s involvement in the murder.

EDITORIAL REVIEW:
"Elmer Clifton loved directing mystery movies and excelled at producing masterpieces. The city of missing girls is one of the jewels that bears Clifton’s trademark. He also teamed up with Oliver Drake to produce an entertaining screenplay and convert what might have been a predictable plot to a fascinating mystery. The casting too is done with care and H.B. Warner plays the part of a police captain to perfection. The dashing John Archer who plays an Assistant District Attorney and the charming Astrid Allwyn who does a wonderful job of portraying an aspiring reporter support him admirably. Philip Van Zandt deserves a special mention for his fabulous portrayal of a smooth-talking, heard hearted conman. Between them, these four master artists have produced a memorable drama that is certain to entertain, amuse and enthrall viewers for a long time. Don’t miss it!" USER REVIEWS:City Of Missing Girls is a very scary suspense film. What makes it particularly unnerving is the sense that what happens here could really happen in real life. As the title would suggest the subject matter is a bunch of girls who slowly start to go missing. Nobody notices at first but eventually it becomes obvious that someone is kidnapping young actresses who are naive enough to fall for the [...] You know that it would not be impossible for some sicko to try the same thing today. I was looking over my shoulder for a week after watching this! written by Jen A new talent school opens. Young aspiring actresses start to disappear. Can you guess where this story is going? In this day and age where people get kidnapped and we know all about sexual predators its hard to watch this movie and not squirm. The talent agents are so evil and even though the film doesn't mention sex, we can only imagine what's going on behind the scenes after the girls are taken. The sad thing is I could see girls today fall for the same scam. The film itself is well paced and the acting is good. The girls are pretty. written by Ejaz
