In this program we’ll feature a colony of Fairy Penguins at Montague Island, koalas at Brisbane’s Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, a trip into Central Queensland on the Spirit of the Outback, the Two Tims clown it up in a charity fun rally and Greg experiences fine dining high above Sydney. Greg goes diving with sixteen other divers as they intercept the migration of Humpback whales off Montague Island. Greg also discovers that seals mimic human behavior as he rolls and twists with Australian Fur Seals. Greg then has an evening encounter with some of the ten thousand pairs of Fairy Penguins on Montague Island. The hierarchy and lives of koalas are closely examined at Brisbane’s Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Discover how many eucalypt leaves koalas eat, why female koalas become aggressive towards each other and the life of joeys before they separate from their mothers. Greg leaves Brisbane at night aboard the Spirit of the Outback on a 24 hour train journey to Longreach. Greg makes the most of the beautiful scenery in daylight hours as he visits the century old train station in Emerald and marvels at the murals depicting rural town life in Alpha. Dressed in clown suits, the Two Tims drive in a forty year old car through the dust and the dirt of outback Australia as part of the Great Escape Car Rally. This outback adventure raises money for Cystic Fibrosis. After a minor fuel emergency the Two Tims take in the scenery, feast on Australian grub in vibrant country towns and meet the personalities of out of the way Australian locales.
