Explore the heart of Bohemia, as we join Laura on a journey to Prague …. one of the most charming of cities in Eastern Europe. It's a lovely mixture of beauty, culture, and history.
Let’s wander the city with Laura and discover the mismatched collection of Romanesque, Gothic, Art Nouveau and Baroque buildings lining the city streets. It's like walking through a living museum! Next we’ll visit some of the most famous landmarks in the center of town: the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, and the Jewish Quarter. Step back in time and enrich yourself in the culture. Laura then takes us to Prague’s bargain center: the Flea Market. It offers one-stop shopping for local art, trinkets and souvenirs, but the real buy in Prague is crystal, beautifully designed and intricately cut into jewelry, vases and chandeliers. It’s time to trek to gothic Loket Castle, a short scenic drive away from the city, and well worth the 90-minute tour. It's reputed to be the most beautiful and the most well-preserved castle in the Czech Republic housing special displays of large collections of Bohemian China. Next up - the must see spa town of Karlovy Vary. With 12 thermal springs, the town has attracted royalty and locals for hundreds of years! Prague is an incredible city with a delicate mixture of the well preserved past and dynamic future.
