See one of the last citadels, part of the last line of defense against the Ottoman advancement towards Europe. Later, board another boat for a day trip to the coast of Turkey, at Bodrum, the legendary city of Halicarnassus with its famous Mausoleum, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Its stones were used to build the most far reaching outpost of Christianity, the Castle of St. Peter, whose towers and ramparts, converted into museums and exhibitions, confer spectacular views over the harbor and the sea.
