Even when it was not the capital or the most influential political city state in Greece, Athens still carried the flagship of the Greek culture, its values being passed around the continent and the islands. In this travel video, we start our visit in Athens' Acropolis, where the Parthenon represents the symbol of the magnificent Greek civilization. We visit the Erechteion and other monuments around the Acropolis, with short visits to the museums. We also take a tour in Plaka, the old Turkish quarter, at the base of the hill. We continue our visit to the Roman Agora and the Temple of Zeus and visit the modern city with its main square, Sintagma. Our tour ends with a sunset visit at the Temple of Poseidon situated on the picturesque Cape Sounion.
