Once just a small fishing port on the French Riviera today St. Tropez, has become a favourite haunt for artists, jet-setters and dream seekers from all over the world. When we went looking we found a charming little sea port whose gracious hard-working people had retained the traditions and values of their down-to-earth forefathers. The people of St. Tropez have retained their folklore traditions. On special occasions they dress up in costumes and perform folk dances which date back to the last century. A performance is featured in this show. In the hills not far from St Tropez are some of the best briar bushes in all of France. That's why another ancient artesinal activity still thrives today, pipe making. Recipes in this show include traditional game, and fish dishes a la Provencial and a mouth watering dessert.
Set in Paris and Provincial France against a scenic background, this series of shows features the preparation of a wide selection of traditional dishes and desserts prepared in their own kitchens personally by many of France's top three star Michelin Chefs: Pierre Troisgros, Paul Boucouse, George Blanc, Marc Menau, Andre Le Letty, Jean-Michel Lorain and other outstanding regional chefs.
