France's oldest and third largest city is Marseille. Always an ethnic crossroads, today Marseille reflects a cosmopolitan personality, something which is still particularly evident in and around the streets of the old port district. In this show we visit a workshop of artisans which produces an incredible number of miniature figurines called 'Santons'. The mountain of St. Victoria is probably the most familiar natural landmark in Provence. Artist Paul Cezanne painted it many times. That's where we journey to, to enjoy another form of art. We also visit in Provence just north of Marseille, the home of a delicious confectionary which is exported around the world.
Set in Paris and Provincial France against a scenic background, this series of shows features the preparation of a wide selection of traditional dishes and desserts prepared in their own kitchens personally by many of France's top three star Michelin Chefs: Pierre Troisgros, Paul Boucouse, George Blanc, Marc Menau, Andre Le Letty, Jean-Michel Lorain and other outstanding regional chefs.
